Coming from Wilson

About 25 minutes on I-95, and worth building an afternoon around.

Wilson and Rocky Mount are about 25 minutes apart, give or take depending which side of Wilson you start from.

From I-95, exit 138C puts you straight onto Sunset Avenue about two miles from our door — an easy way in.

We're at 2916 Sunset Ave, Space 519, inside Geek Valhalla, with free parking directly in front of the door — no garage, no meter.

What the drive gets you

We're not going to tell you what's available in Wilson — you live there. Here's honestly what's on this end.

Seven categories, stocked properly

Trading cards, board and classic games, miniatures, video games, dexterity and sports games, tabletop roleplaying, and building games — puzzles, models and STEM. One trip covers a household that doesn't all play the same thing.

Organized play every week

Leagues and events most weeks — see what's on.

A real play space

A dedicated play space, not a table wedged between shelves. Store terrain, a rulebook library and a wall full of games to play, and it's available to rent for your own group or tournament.

Buy and trade

Replayable games and game accessories — trading cards, video games, board games, miniatures and tabletop roleplaying supplies — by appointment, for cash or store credit.

Making a day of it

If you're driving anyway, Wilson has more to it than we do. Hours change — check before you go.

Start at the Whirligig Park

301 Goldsboro St S in Wilson — thirty of Vollis Simpson's whirligigs on two acres, free, open daily. Whirligigs have been North Carolina's official folk art since 2013, and this park is named in the statute.

Wilson Ballpark, one block over

401 Goldsboro St S. Opened April 2026, seats 4,500, home of the Wilson Warbirds. Check the schedule — an afternoon game and an evening event night is a good day.

Parker's Barbecue

2514 US Highway 301 South in Wilson. Whole-hog barbecue since 1946, open seven days. Cash and checks only — there's an ATM on site, but it has caught out a lot of people who didn't know.

Then us and Rocky Mount

2916 Sunset Ave, Space 519, inside Geek Valhalla. Mon–Sat 10–7, Sun 12–6, and some events run later. Free parking at the door. Here are our quick hits on Rocky Mount while you're visiting us.

Call before you set off

If you're driving half an hour for something specific, call our friends at Geek Valhalla on (252) 210-3081 and they'll check the shop for you. Much better than making the trip and finding we sold the last one.
